Parador Hotel Malaga Golf |
|
The enchantment of the Costa del Sol region of Andalucia is based on its climate, beaches, golf courses, hedges of flowers and pretty villages. The Parador of Malaga Golf is on one of the oldest golf courses in the region which
was designed by Tom Simpson, the architect of Turnberry and Muirfield courses
in Scotland, and opened in 1925.
The decoration of the living rooms, the lobby and the dining room are of light tones that are characteristic of the Costa del Sol area. Among the dishes of the Parador restaurant, the following are recommended:
Besides the menu with the regional dishes. there is a special menu for those on a gluten free diet. While visiting Malaga try not to miss the cathedral, the Alcazaba (fortress), the Roman Theatre, and Picasso‘s birthplace. Try to visit also the towns of Mijas, Marbella, Ronda and Nerja. Walk from the hotel to Torremolinos.
Do not miss the much acclaimed Goya-style bullfighting which takes place every 9th of September in the town of Ronda. If you are a golf fanatic then you have come to the right place! This sport has given the name to the Parador itself, placing it on the circuit of the best European tournaments. Make use of the seasonal swimming pool and the two tennis courts. If you have a lot of friends, there is a full size football pitch at the Parador. In the area you may go sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, hiking and hang gliding.
The rooms also have a telephone, satellite television, safe and a mini bar.
Distance from the nearest airport is approximately 3 kms, train station is half km away and the nearest port is 9 kms away.

| We have stayed at several paradors throughout Spain. This time we returned to Malaga Golf and once again had an excellent experience. The staff throughout provides excellent service. The views are beautiful and the course was in excellent condition. The location of the parador is ideal for air or rail travel. We have every intention of returning. Spain is our home away from home! |

| We stayed in the Parador Malaga as part of a seven night route package thru Andalusia, we went to Carmona, beautiful castle hotel with a great medieval town and great hotel pool, we were surprised at what turned out to be a hightight was the fabulous Arcos de la Frontera Parador where the staff were beyond belief, helpful is not the work, they gave us the best room in the hotel and a candlelit dinner under the stars, fantastic, then we went to Antequera, modern hotel with a vibrant working type town, we golfed nearby at an unbelievable local course, we ended at Malage Golf, golf was great, hotel OK beach nice with a great beach restaurant grilled sardines and paella, however the big problem with Malaga Golf is the noise level of the airplanes taking off and landing every 10 minutes at the Malage airport across the street, we could not hear each other talking during that time, it was honestly grinding and very unpleasant, and for that reason I would not be able to stay again at Malaga Golf, not bad because the hotel is great as are all paradors, maybe some people wont mind the noise level but to me it was unbearable to the point that I had a major migraine for 2 days. Not normal!!!!! Stay at your own risk, the Spanish people did not seem to mind, you be the judge!!! Donna |

| Me and my friends stayed att the hotel in the middle of febuary and played golf for a week. We are very pleased with the hotel and its service. The only thing that wasnt good was that they had closed big parts of the tees on the golf course ,so it played much shorter than it should. The club must adjust that better. If a couple a holes are shorter then they can make it up and put the tees longer on other holes. |

| We arrived on Nov. the 7th and stayed five nights at this very nice Parador. The weather was beautiful the whole week. Three rounds of golf were played and the course was in excellent condition. We had rooms at ground level with a nice sea view. The staff was service minded and friendly. Breakfast was super. Centro de Malaga is just a 15 Euro trip away with taxi or you can take the local bus from the bus stop just outside the Parador. We also enjoyed some nice walking trips on the beachside towards Torremolinos. Parador Malaga del Golf is a place we will strongly recommend. |
