For those who seek and enjoy old world colonial style, this hotel is a wonderful place in a truly magnificent setting high above the Atlantic. In general you will find the staff helpful and friendly, though there were some exceptions. Our room, on the first floor with a fantastic view over the garden out to sea, contained everything we needed for our comfort. The only real disappointment was the outdoor swimming pool. We had expected it to be heated. Instead it was rather cold and not suited for a pleasant dip (end of February). An unforgivable let-down in this location, considering how easily it cold be remedied using solar heating.

We are a elderly couple who stayed at this parador two nights at the end of february. We came back to this hotel for the second time. We stayed here six years ago. It is a lovely place to stay. Nice bathroom! Wonderful gardens. The lady in the reception was very helpful with our boardingpasses! However we think that the bar service could be improved.

We arrived at la Gomera tired and very much in need of a holiday, we were delighted to find the parador set high on the cliffs above the town, it was an oasis of calm, we stayed a week and enjoyed the experience leaving rested. Hopefully we will return next year
