The Parador has fifty three twin bedrooms, nine double bedrooms and two single bedrooms. All bedrooms have satellite television, TV canal plus, safe and mini bar.

In Cangas de Onis, discover the chapels of Santa Cruz and San Antonio. The Royal Site of Covadonga -comprising a museum, a cave and the church- is a mandatory visit.

This region is full of folklore and popular feasts. The main feasts are: San Antonio (June 13th), the Pastor Feast in La Vega de Enol (June 25th), the Feast of Nuestra Senora de Covadonga, the Patron Saint of Asturias (September 8th) which stands out here.

It is worth watching the international canoeing descent of the Sella river (second Saturday of August) and the cheese contests of Cabrales and Beyos, chestnuts contest in Arriondas, and the cider contest in Nava.

Discover the wonders of the Picos de Europa (Peaks of Europe) range of mountains. You can spend your time there fishing, canoeing, trekking, climbing, or riding horses and bikes.

DIRECTIONS

The Parador is on the right bank of the River Sella in Villanueva, 2 km from the town of Cangas de Onís. The main access roads are the N-634 (Oviedo-Santander), and from Arriondas (3 km), the N-625 which links up with Castilla y Leon. Starting from Cangas de Onís and taking the AS-114, travellers may gain access to Covadonga and the eastern-most parts of Asturias and western Cantabria.
