The Parador of Alcala de Henares occupies a magnificent 17th century building, the ancient Dominican Collegiate - Convent of Santo Tomas de Aquino.
The Hosteria del Estudiante is located in the ancient Colegio Menor de San Jeronimo, founded by Cardinal Cisneros in 1510, and has marvellous views of the Patio Trilingue of the Alcala de Henares university. Together they form part of the collection of old buildings of the town of Alcala de Henares, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998. Worth visiting locally and Madrid area are the Cervantes House Museum, the Outdoor Modern Sculpture Museum, Bernardas Monastery, the Prado museum and the convents of Las Descalzas and La Encarnacion. The Hosteria offers a varied menu with many dishes of the local Cervantine Cuisine. As in all the Paradors there is a special gluten free menu.

Accommodation consists of 21 double rooms, 90 twin rooms, 2 quadruple rooms, 2 special rooms with terrace and 1 junior suite. All rooms feature TV, telephone, free internet access , minibar, safety deposit box and hair dryer. There are also 4 rooms with facilities for disabled persons. The hotel features modern spa facilities, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and several fully equipped meeting rooms.
The parador's conference rooms are equipped with air conditioning, television plugs, piped music and address system in suite, WIFI connection, flip chart, video projector and a digital multi screen system. Distance from the nearest airport is approximately 20 kms, train station is 2 kms away and the nearest port is 368 kms away. The Parador has garage.
