From the moment we walked through the front door of the hotel everything was fantastic. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel its' self is spectacular, clean, comfortable and a most relaxing place to be in.
You are only moments away from the shopping area, bars and tapas restaurants etc which were all of a good standard.
I would highly recommend this Parador Hotel to anyone. I can't wait to visit again.

Stayed one night on a 6 night tour of paradors. The courtyard is undoubtedly the centrepiece, both literally and as a focal point. My wife is disabled, and the hotel has been carefully adapted to give easy access without spoiling the atmosphere. We had a pre-dinner drink and an evening meal under the open sky of the the courtyard. The staff were both friendly and helpful, and speak good English, useful with my very limited Spanish. The food and service were excellent; probably more than you would pay in restuarants in town, but you're paying for the atmosphere. Breakfast also good. Our room was a good size, and the bathroom nicely adapted for my wife. Would definitely go again, and explore the town more.

We have stayed in many many Paradors over the years and I have to say this was an exceptionally enjoyable visit. Although we arrived in a thunder storm, and it was very difficult to find as there is only 1 very tiny road sign to it, the local police guided us there as if we were celebs. Once there the staff were wonderful, helpful is not the word for it! The restaurant and foodetc etc were first class. The guided tour of the town, provided free, was great and I dont know why more Paradors dont do that ? This was the most interesting building we have seen converted to a Parador but I have to say it is a shining example of how any hotel 4 stars or not should be run. As if nothing was too much for anybody. I cannot wait till weget the chance to stay again.

We had a good experience at this parador once we had found it as we saw no sign to it anywhere and had to hunt around on foot. Of course once you find it, you wonder how you missed it. Our room was excellent, clean, quiet and very well appominted. There was a lovely atmosphere in the courtyard where we had dinner. The food was good and the staff were helpful and friendly.

This was quite an expensive parador, but we felt that it was worth it. However with the pound so weak at present, everywhere is expensive!

We would use this parador again.

The Zafra Parador is a high comfort hotel, nice, clean and big rooms. We had one with a nice view to the old city area.

The restaurant in the open air courtyard is nice too, the service and food good.

The employees in the hotel speak better English than you normal experience in central Spain (far away for the coastline).

We will come back to Parador Zafra one again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Parador of Zafra. It was conveniently located, breakfast was superb (as in all paradores we stayed at by the way) and the room was spacious, perhaps a bit dark, but provided with all the amenities required. We also had a light meal in the bar, which was tasteful. We were not disturbed by any noise.
At reception they were very polite and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

We were very pleased with the Parador in Zafra. Our room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The room overlooked the square but it was not noisy as traffic does not pass. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent with friendly staff. We did not have dinner in the restaurant but we did eat in the bar where the food and the service was really good. The hotel is very central for exploring Zafra. We would definitely stay there again if passing that way.

Great location and town. True historic inland Spain. Room fine.
However reception staff unhelpful and made us feel like naughty schoolchildren as we did not have our passports on us. (Other hotels have not asked for this).
Dinner fine but has been this good in lower grade hotels. Breakfast great.

We stayed two nights at the Parador in Zafra at the end of August and thought it was beautiful. Our room opened out onto the courtyard giving it a spacious feel. The pool was a good size, especially in comparison to some others. We did not dine in the Parador as the evening meals seem to have gone up a lot in price (and our exchange rate is poor at the moment!) but we did have the breakfasts, which provided the usual choices. Being able to sit outside was an added bonus. One of the advantages of staying there is that it is right in the town so you can wander in and eat at one of the many cafes and tapas bars. Some of the staff at the Parador were not particularly helpful (others were) but, unfortunately, that is sometimes the case with this hotel group and I largely blame myself for not speaking better Spanish.
We would happily stay there again.

Paradore itself was beautiful. Rooms very large and clean. Pool was perfect after a day of travelling.

HOWEVER, restaurant staff were not very friendly or helpful. Food was expensive and not worth the money. We should have eaten out somewhere else.

Lady who gave us breakfast was very nice and friendly which made us feel a little better.
