We stayed at Vilalba for 2 nights after driving from Santander. Hotel was well signposted and bedroom was to usual Parador high standard. We had asked for a quiet room so it was at the rear of the hotel, consequently no view but it was quiet. We did not dine in the restaurant but in the bar area where the food was good. Staff were friendly and efficient. The town was an ideal centre for visiting Santiago, la Corruna and Lugo

We stayed at the Parador Vilalba en route from the Picos de Europa to Santiago de Compostela. The reception staff were very helpful, informative and welcoming. Our room was lovely - spacious, well appointed, comfy bed - with a great view of the adjacent square. We also ate at the in-house restaurant, and the food was excellent quality. I have only one niggle, and that's the extra charge levied for use of the Turkish bath - surely this small cost should be met by the hotel? But otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

We used the Parador Vilalba as an overnight stop when travelling between Portugal and Santander. The Reception Staff were very welcoming and offered us a room in the Tower, which we declined. The standard rooms are typically Parador, the view was not particularly good but it did overlook the little square in front of the Church in the old Quarter of the town.
In the restaurant we had the traditional local menu which was very tasty and well presented. Generally the staff were very helpful.
