Parador Verin
Opposite the medieval fortress of Monterrei, the Parador of Verin’s structure is like a pazo, the typical country house of Galicia, 
with a crenelated tower, lovely views of the castle, Verin and the prestigious vineyards of the valley.
Some of the hotel bedrooms have views of the swimming pool and gardens. Hake Galician style and filloas a la crema (cream-filled pastries) flavored with eau-de-vie are good examples of the dishes on offer.
We stayed here in June 2008. The service, the resataurant, the pool were all excellent. The views are fantastic and as for the wine from Monterrei wonderful…
