We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food was again to a very high standard. The room was fantastic with a super view. Not the best place to find. a sat nav is essential.
Car parking is away from hotel and could be a problem in busy times.
Never been to a bad Paradore!!

We needed a satnav to find the parador but it was delightful when we found it. Staff helpful and friendly, but we changed rooms to a higher grade one as the first was very dark. View from window fine and we enjoyed the courtyard for drinks and tea. Food also excellent and situation in a small and attractive town ideal for easy sightseeing. Recommended and good value compared with some, eg Granada..

We stayed just one night at Parador de Ubeda. We were met with professional kindness. Nice room which will need a little restoration in the future. But the bar and restaurant was not up to standard.

Best value of all the paradors we visited. Quite charming with the high ceilings and old style furniture. Helpful staff and right next to the prettiest church in the city and if you are there the right time of year (October), you can watch the sun set on it from your bedroom window. This is a small town in the olive groves and is filled with old Renaissance buildings. Nice place.

We stayed for 2 night. Beautiful location in the romantic and unique renaissanse center of Ubeda. Spacious room, I believe it was a superiore. Nice staff, some with no knowledge of English, others fluent. Wonderful breakfast. We did not try dinner, but went to restaurants in the vicinity. Absolutely recomandable.

We stayed at the Parador Ubeda from 5th to 7th September 2010. We were absolutely enchanted by the Parador itself and the old town. Our room overlooked the square at the front and I can honestly say we did not encounter any excessive noise from outside. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very helpful and polite. We had great difficulty finding the Parador as the signs were quite misleading and seemed to disappear altogether after a while. Fortunately, our Spanish is not too bad and so we kept stopping and asking the way. It was well worth the drive from Almeria airport and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there.

Parking was not a problem, we dropped our bags in front and parked a block away for free overnight. The Parador was pretty, but the rooms on the square were a little too loud to keep the doors and windows open and really enjoy the view, but very cozy when there was a sudden torrential downpour. Rooms were comfortable, food was good and the ceilings were amazing. I was surprised that we were charged more for a parador with less amenities than some others...Staff were very helpful. Town was lovely but filled with dogs and there are no laws about cleaning up after your dog, apparently.

We found it without too much difficulty and like others found the front desk staff quite helpful. Our room, a suite, had a sort of aristocratic elegance (unlike us) which we find charming and one of the main attractions for us of these less-visited towns in Spain. So we put up with the inevitable little problems like parking and slow bar service. The breakfast was indeed fantastic. One night for dinner we walked to a nearby plaza and found a neighborhood restaurant with outdoor seating and fabulous, inexpensive food. It was full, but two waiters obligingly carried out another (big old wooden) table and chairs for us. The other tables were full of families gossiping over wine and coffees, their kids kicking soccer balls, and we felt like the only tourists for miles.

We spent one night in the Parador. It was really difficult to find it coming from the south west. We drove round and round the old town looking for a way in: signs are inconsistent and seem to lead down very narrow one way streets to no entrys. Plan this in detail before trying! It seems odd that the enormous courtyard is not open to drop off bags. The room was perfectly comfortable but felt a bit brown and unloved. The basement bar is very nice. The restaurant is overpriced. The location is amazing and the staff are very professional...
