I agree - it was difficult to find untill we got into the city- then good signs. The adress was not on the gps.

Great stay, fine food, god bar and o.k. rooms.

The view from the parador was amazing.

Found this Parador online, reserved a room via email. When I called to confirm the booking, the woman who answered was sweet and spoke perfect English. The view is stunning, the building fascinating, staff perfectly helpful and friendly. A very unique and enjoyable stay.

A couple tips: Restaurants in town open for dinner around 8:30 and the staff do not speak English. (There's a really nice restaurant right by the beautiful park in town) This is not a problem, they're very friendly. Just don't be confused when they don't want to seat you at 7pm.

Wifi is free and fast but only in the lobby area.

Breakfast is awesome.

One small thing: I'm surprised no one has mentioned the smell? Throughout the Parador, there is a smell kind of like sulfur - not a dirty smell, but something in the water, maybe? We stayed in one of the towers and the odor was worse in there. It was distracting and we did not get used to it. We asked about it, but they seem not to know what we're referring to. It's not a problem however, if you open up your windows. We also bought some lavendar incense in town and it was fine.

I definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was magnificent and the room lovely. Too bad about the view onto the parking lot, however! The breaksfast buffet was unbelievably excellent. It is really, really a disappointment, however, that the dinner was so poor. Considering the marvellous food we ate everywhere else in Spain (Barcelona, Valencia, Murcia, Cabo de Gata, Granada, Sevilla), there is absolutely no excuse for the substandard dining room fare. I'm so sorry to say this because the personnel were so kind, efficient and helpful throughout our stay (2 nights). Someone has to fix the dinner. The town of Tortosa itself is very sweet and the people so friendly. It is possible to eat much better in the town than in the parador. Ironic.

We had no problems finding the parador because we asked a charming young lady who showed us exactly where to go explaining slowly in Spanish so we could understand. It was an interesting building and town, both might need a little sympathetic facelift but the town has some excellent architecture if some is in need of repair in order to preserve it for the future. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and thought the stay was good value.

A wonderful location. My wife was unwell 9we had to stay an extra night) and the reception staff were very helpful in changing other hotel reservations for me. I can recommend this hotel any visitor to Spain. Extra signs to the hotel would be helpful, without sat nav it would have been difficult. The dinner menu could do with a bit of an update. Very friendly staff

We booked an overnight stay at this Parador intending to crash out after a long flight from Australia, and before heading south to Andalucia. In actual fact we found we were not too tired and we able to enjoy the hotel and the area.

The hotel was not so well furbished as some other Paradors, but was one of the cheaper ones. The view was fabulous once we had found the hotel. The signing in the town was very confusing. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We did not have dinner at the hotel, instead choosing to drive down to the fishing village of St Carles de la Rapita for a late seafood lunch.
