We have stayed several Paradores over the years. The standard of accommodation is good and consistent. Sos del Rey met our expectations. Reception was good and helpful even with our halting Spanish. The bedroom was small but comfortable. The bathroom was fine. The view was good particularly at sunrise. Breakfast was great - we took the bed and breakfast option. Dinner was a disappointment, particularly the meat quality. The town was fascinating and nearby - pity nowhere in town was open.

Sos del ray was halfway through our Spanish holiday and we could only spare one night. After The Picos Mountains, which were magnificent if wet, then Millan de Cogolla we thought it couldn't get better but Sos was wonderful. Everything about the Parador and the village was enchanting. The staff, the room and the restaurant were excellent and our walk round the village was lovely especially the church and its very kind guardian. We left Sos looking forward to our next Parador but unfortunately we were to be diappointed. Next time we will stay much longer at Sos. Congratulations to the manager and all the staff, an excellent hotel.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, however I was very dissapointed by our reception on arrival. We were touring by motorbike, and the staff seem horrified that we would be staying at the hotel, and did not offer to help with our baggage or anything. This really put a bit of a downer on the whole stay.

This is our 17th parador and we loved it. The town is beautiful and faultless no highrise or modern blocks ruining the medieval ambience. Not sure where we could shop, drink or eat without the parador but would really recommend a short stay here. The food was lovely in the restaurant and the breakfast was good. the only small downside was the price of 2 small orange juices on the terrace ( 11 euros). Otherwise it is one of our favourites and the room was cheap so swings and roundabouts.

My wife and I stayed at your hotel in June. It was one of our favorites. We hope to come back. I would like to thank the staff for their hospitality. You all made our stay wonderful, in addition to the beautiful hotel, town and the country side.

Best of the paradores we have stayed in. From the moment we arrived we relaxed and the welcome was so, well... er welcoming and it set the tone for our short stay.

Our corner room was beautifully appointed and had magnificent views in two directions.

Dinner was considerably better than in other paradores we have tried and the breakfast was truly magnificent.

We loved it.

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting. Best place we stayed on our journey through France and Spain.
More choice of bar food would have been nice.

A wonderful place to stay on the outskirts of the walled village with it's olde worldly charm. The views are spectacular from the hotel rooms and the restaurant area. The staff are very polite and helpful on reception and in the bar and restaurant The rooms and en-suite facilities are excellent and comfortable with the welcome pack in the bathroom providing that little extra touch. We ate in the restaurant one evening and chose a bar meal for our second night. Both meals were to a high standard and well received. The breakfast menu has lots of choice of both cold and cooked food.
Our only concern was not being able to pre-book parking in the garage for our motorcycles. All paradors seem to only offer garage space on a first come first served basis.

This beautiful Parador is a bit of a drive out of the way but well worth the time it took to get there. Perched on the top of pine-covered foothills overlooking a magnificent vista of valleys and mountains in the foreground and distance, the morning view from our room was breathtaking. We arrived after a very long drive and very hungry within minutes of the restaurant's kitchen closing but the receptionist and staff were gracious about arranging for us to get our dinner order in before they closed the kitchen. The food was exceptional and the service could not have been nicer. We were one of the last parties to leave the dinning room, but the staff insisted that we not rush to leave. SOS is situated on the edge of a tiny ancient picturesque village with lovely views and flower-decked houses. It is easy to walk around the village. The Parador is beautifully decorated, as are the rooms. We are sorry that we could only stay one night but will certainly return if we have the opportunity. It is well worth planning a visit to this beautiful remote place.

My first comment is on the kindness and efficiency of ALL the staff. The food at dinner was lovely and the wine recommended was local, lovely and very reasonably priced. Breakfast offered a very good variety. Our room was lovely and spacious and very clean. The bathroom the same, with a good variety of shampoos, creams etc. If we are ever in the area again, we will stay no where else. Please thank the staff for making our journey through Spain so enjoyable.
