Comments Parador Seu DUrgell
The Parador Seu DUrgell is located alongside the Romanesque cathedral towers, in a monumental and natural setting which attracts numerous hikers, mountain lovers and an infinity of tourists who take a step closer to Andorran heaven.
The world-famous Parc Olimpic del Segre Canoeing Championships are held here in the summer.
Of note in the interior are the ancient Renaissance cloister and a pleasant covered swimming pool.
Seventy-nine rooms, a covered pool, sauna, solarium, coffee shop, air conditioning in all rooms… make this Parador a tempting offer of accommodation from which to explore the most beautiful and attractive areas of the Catalan Pyrenees.
Below are some comments of guests who recently stayed in Parador Seu D’Urgell.
Information and reservations at Parador of Seu D’Urgell

We only stayed for one night but had a lovely stay. The room was very clean and spacious with good views over the town and the countryside. The stff were very helpful too. The gym was a little disappointing but this was the only issue we had. Breakfast was delicious and there was a huge amount of things to choose from. We loves relaxing in the cloister in the evening, it was so tranquil and calm. In fact the whole Parador was peaceful and had a lovely atmoshphere. The market on the Saturday morning was on the doorstep along with a duathlon and kayaking at the water park.
I would thoroughly recommend a stay here
We had the advantage of a room with young traveller rate. Otherwise it would have been too expensive. Parking is expensive (outdoor, the indoor even more expensive). The hotel isn’t very charming but looks more like a luxury business type hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is super (better than our next 5* Parador). The pool is indoor under glass roof so very unpleasant in summer because of the heat. A pity there is no outdoor pool.
Magnificent place. Interior courtyard – exotic, relaxing. Restaurant food was of gourmet quality, impeccable service. Elegance, higest quality. A wonderful facility which I look forward to returning to and spending more time.
We spent one night on May. Our room – compairing to other Paradors – was very small. We didn’t like the location (in town). On the other hand – the diner was very good.
Warm welcome by all staff throughout stay. Excellent breakfast served up to a civilised hour (11am)
Cloistered area very soothing and Ideal for a quiet read.
All in all an experience to be recommended.
We spent 3 nights at the ParadorSeu etc sleeping on the second floor. We found the noise of shoes walking on the wooden floor above very annoying especially as the guests upstairs seemed to walk around until mid-night.
Surely hotel floors should be carpeted.
We were politely and efficiently welcomed by reception. Not much warmth.
Service in the restaurant was professional and the food good.
We stayed one night at the Parador Seu d’Urgell at the back end of September 2009. Our Garmin GPS system found the hotel location with no problems. Our room on the 4th floor was spacious and spotlessy clean and comfortable. There was a particularly lovely covered courtyard area in the centre of the hotel just past the reception area which had a lovely ambience. We took our drinks from the bar there and chilled out. Although the hotel says that there is wi-fi internet access in the rooms, we found there ws no reception upstairs and the only area we could find a weak signal was in the covered courtyard. We had a delicous themed dinner in the restaurant celebrating 80 years of the paradors. The parking was in a secure private garage opposite the hotel, but we did object to being charged for that as it’s not cheap staying in the paradors. All in all though, a very pleasant experience.
My wife and I plus 2 friends took 2 rooms for 2 nights in early Sept 2009. We had an excellent stay, the location is perfect, rooms are comfortable and well apppointed, the public areas are beautiful, the staff are courteous and friendly. We were lucky to have the world champion kayak/canoe practices in progress, making the town lively and fun. Next time we will use this parador as a base for walking in the beautiful countryside nearby. You should hope to see other canoing and shoudl make a visit to the cathedral which is only 50 metres from the hotel.
Service sehr gut. Zusammenfassung: Top Etappen-Hotel (wir fahren 15000 km/Jahr mit Motorrad).
My son and I stayed over for one night as part of our motorcycle tour across the spanish mountainse heading to Beilsa .I thought the entire ambience of this parador excellent ,the staff tremendous ,the food quality and choice very good I enjoyed the wild boar stew .The wine choice again was superior .We enjoyed the swimming facilities a good chance to get out of the saddle and wind down for a period .In all a very memorable experience and one that I would like to repeat some day .As my son was under 35 yrs we took advantage of the special rate which was excellent value for money .Well done your team you did Spain and your parador proud Regards Brian and Lawerence Denvir Knights of St Johns and Grand Templars
I spent one night at the Parador Seu d’Urgell in the middle of July 2009 with my wife under the Golden Days scheme. I had some difficulties to find the Parador, when you are using a GPS you are depending upon a street adress – I recommend that the exact adress is given when the confirmation is sent.
The Parador seems somewhat dark and dull, but the quality of the rooms are superb.
The internet connection was not wireless, but the front desk handed out a wire and I had my internet connection.
The restaurant was expensive, but the dishes from the menu were very good. The service at the restaurant was excellent, except that you have to learn young waiters that you serve the wine to the lady first (after the man has tasted the wine).
The breakfast was also very OK, and I will also mention the waitress as the best experience of our stay.
There is a garage in the cellar of the Parador and we experienced during our tour of 2 weeks that it was expensive compared with cities of the same size.
I spent one night at the Parador Seu d’Urgell at the end of May with my husband under the Golden Days scheme. Our room on the fourth floor was spacious, well furnished and had superb views over the mountains (if you ignore the dustbins directly below). We had dinner in the restaurant which we enjoyed although we thought it was on the expensive side. We chose local dishes from the menu which were very good. Be warned though, portions are on the generous side. We did not use the hotel facilities so I cannot comment on those. Breakfast deserves a special mention as it was superb with a vast array of salamis, cheeses, fruit, pastries, etc. Also worth a mention was the waitress who served us at breakfast. She was charming.
