Reception staff were welcoming. Breakfast, dinner and bar were good. However the hotel looks tired and is in sore need of refurbishment. The bedroom balcony had chipped tiling. We couldn’t walk round to the front of the building for the view of the old town because it was all locked up. Overall needs some improvement to reach the Parador standard.

Pleasant stay. Nice restaurant, nice pools: the outdoor pool was chilly though, and the indoor pool was not operating yet!
Beautiful view of the city of Segovia, both from the public rooms (restaurant...) and from the room with a small balcony.
Good breakfast.
Staff not as helpful as in other paradors regarding luggage etc.: at the reception they are always very busy, or pretend to be so!

We stayed here and the Paradores in Cuenca and Toledo. The rooms were large, clean and provided nice, albeit distant, views of Segovia. Note that the Parador Segovia is not in a historic building, instead occupying a example of dramatic modern architecture of a few decades past, but not unusual enough to seem anything but a bit of a "period piece". While the two other Paradores at which we stayed were also perched on hills outside of town, this one was slightly more remote, requiring us to drive a distance into town. Front desk help was a bit cold and unfriendly compared to the other Paradores. The lobby restaurant was decent, with a good wine list. The hotel has an attached convention center that at times made parking a bit difficult and drew from the charm. Somehow the place just lacked the ambiance of the other Paradores. On balance, although we love the Paradores in general, we might opt for a more historic structure in the town of Segovia, which itself was stunning.

We stayed in the Paradores at Segovia, Salamanca, Avila and Toledo. All provided a delightful place to stay. The locations were stunning and made the holidays. Staff very helpful & tolerant of my poor spanish. A cultural wander through Castille with the knowledge of an excellent hotel to return at night.

We stayed at The Parador Segovia overnight en-route from Almeria to Santander. We were most impressed by all aspects of the Parador particularly the friendly and helpful reception, room standard and the excellent breakfast.

We visited Segovia old town and fell in love with the night atmosphere and old buildings. We will visit again and would recommend the Parador and Segovia to our friends.

Had a wonderful stay - the views were lovely. staff excellent and very welcoming. food - we had the local specialities and left not a crumb! A quick visit around Segovia and the Alcazaba, the Cathedral was closed for refurbishment. Most interesting but my husband who is recovering from back surgery bravely ascended and descended the 157 steps up the tower!! The aquaduct is a sight to behold and the evening sun did the town justice. We were sorry to have such a short visit and only passing through. We must come again! Oh and comfy beds!!

We stayed in this Parador as part of a week in February. I have to say that had we visited this Parador first I would not have been disappointed, however we came after spending time in Siguenza! How can this Parador compete with a medieval castle?

It can't!

The staff were helpful, and breakfast was OK, the room was spacious and light, and yes this Parador is due a refurbish, but the view of Segovia from the balcony was quite spectacular!
