Comments Parador Ronda
In the town centre, in a privileged position next to Ronda’s famous Puente Nuevo bridge, built in 1761, the Parador of Ronda occupies the former Town Hall.
The impressive setting has spectacular views of the ‘Cut’, a river gorge 120 metres deep. The interior is decorated in blues, greens, yellows and reds, with brightly coloured fabrics on the sofas and curtains, and large, light rooms. There is a pool, cheerful bedrooms with lovely views and comfortable duplexes with terrace. The Hotel restaurant offers excellent Andalusian dishes.
Below are some comments of guests who recently stayed in Parador Ronda.
Information and reservations at Parador of Ronda

Everything was perfect. Staff, room, view and location couldn’t be better-
I was looking forward to dining while we were staying at the Parador Ronda as guidebooks had mentioned that they had the best food in town. We were seated in the restaurant and found it to be too brightly lit and completely lacking in ambience for dinner( it was fine for breakfast ). Then we looked at the menu and not one dish appealed to us. We were very disappointed and decided to leave and ate dinner at a restaurant in town. The Parador needs to improve the ambience of the dining room and provide a menu that appeals.
I booked my reservation well in advance but was informed that the Golden Days pricing was unavailable which was a big disappointment, and as well, only a duplex suite was available, so we ended up paying a much higher price for a suite which we did not need or make use of, just for the privilege of staying at the Parador.
We enjoyed our room with its patios and the stunning views over the gorge, but I felt the lobby was entirely lacking charm.
We spent three weeks during May in Spain at various Paradores, hotels and bed and breakfasts celebrating my husbands 60th Birthday. We enjoyed everyone place we stayed. My husband fell in love with Ronda, the people and the Ronda Paradore. The staff was pleasant and more than accommodating. We were upgraded to a roof top suite with the most amazing view of the countryside, the gorge and the town. The morning breakfast was excellent. We relaxed with wine and cheese on the roof top patio in the early evening before venturing out on the town for the evening. What an absolutely wonderful stay! Going to Spain—Paradores are a must. We will definitely be back!
The location was perfect, it cold not have been any better. The staff were excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. First class breakfast that set us up for the rest of the day. Ronda was my favourite place on the trip and the Parador experience was excellent. The Paradores are a fabulous idea.
Our first stay at a Parador. We hope to stay and visit more Paradores. Rhonda was magnificent! The Parador was beautiful and spacious but had an intimate atmosphere also. Food was superb and service was excellent. We loved our room on ground floor with french doors opening to garden patio. Very private and tranquil. Would definitely recommend this parador…
We enjoyed our stay at the parador greatly. Our ground floor room had a beautiful view and the room itself was spacious and very comfortable. Meals were of a high standard and our visit was only marred by plumbing problems. The right hand sink plug in the bathroom was not connected so that the sink could not be filled with water while the shower went through a cycle of cold- warm- hot and then cold again while being used with the setting of the control untouched.
Our mentioning of these faults at the reception desk on checking out were met by a metaphoric shrug of the shoulders and complete lack of comment or apology.
A shame that a wonderful stay could be marred by the lack of attention to simple things!
We spent one night at the Ronda Parador and we were entranced by the beauty of the area. I felt like I was living in a paintng of a Renaissance landscape. As well, our hotel experience was superior in every way. I hope we can return someday.
Thank you
Reception on arrival – very welcoming and helpful and efficient
The Bedroom – comfortable and loved the bathroom selection of lotions etc.
View from room – side view of building – garden view – would have liked
better view as this was a special occasion although we were only staying
1 night
Public Rooms – comfortable and flowers lovely
Restaurant – Dinner was excellent quality and staff attentive but pity
they do not smile
Breakfast – was a different matter – we arrived at 9.30 a.m. and fresh
fruit was finished and took a while to replace same – our table was not
big enough for 4 and so problem with used plates etc. and staff got very
angry with us especially the male staff on duty – hot food was just warm
but we loved the coconut milk iced.
Any noise – no even though we were in the centre of town
Location of hotel – perfect for walking all around Ronda
Proximity of a town – Ronda is just ideal for being in a town
Any places visited – we loved all musuems and churches – and squares and
scenery
We would have liked to hear Spanish music and went to find venues but
mid week no music
I have always wanted to stay in a Parador and this was my first time and
I loved the old building and the setting and fact that it is real
spanish architecture and so historic – have been telling my friends to
visit these hotels
My wife and I stayed at the Rhonda Parador for four nights in a superior room. The room had a wonderful view of the valley below, the location was perfect, the staff were very helpful. We met the manager who is very involved in every aspect of the hotel. Of all the Paradors Rhonda was our favorite.
We stayed one night at the Parador in Ronda in March. Beautiful hotel in ideal location. The room was very comfortable; service was very good and staff friendly. However I wish the front desk was english speaking as I had hard time to understand the fellow who spoke to me only in spanish when we checked in. Food was excellent at the restaurant; we had breakfast lunch and dinner. I definitely recommend highly this Parador; there is no other place as far as I know to stay in Ronda better than this great hotel.
Stayed there 12th March 2011. – Very disappointed. Orinignally requested a room with a double bed and after two attempts at returning incorrect reservation offers with wrong date or bed type, was eventually told that the only accommodation that was available was a duplex suite. Price soared to 324 Euros, but as I had always wanted to stay at a Parador, as a special treat my husband said to book it. The bathroom had dust in the corners, the bedspread had a cigarette burn on it, the curtain rail above the bed had a finial missing from the end, the patio door glass was cracked, the glass on the balcony was cracked and the table that was on the downstairs balcony had a very old plastic trim that was deteriorating. I have never been more disappointed with accommodation in my life.
My wife and me had in february 2011 a very pleasent stay at the parador. From arrival to departure we were looked very well by the staff and our room had a nice view to the small waterfall and the landscape beside.
We can recommend a stay at the Parador in Ronda very much.
Greetings from Switzerland
We spent two nights in FEbruary celebrating a birthday The parador was extremely comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. we enjoyed two dinners both of which were excellent.Breakfast on both days was very enjoyable.Ronda was not new to us as we live inSpain but it is a wonderful base from which to explore the glorious countryside in the National Parks. we enjoyed the two days as Golden Days guests.
We spent ten day sampling the spirit of Andalusia in November. How fortunate we were to end our adventure at the Parador de Ronda. From the moment we were greeted by the friendly and helpful staff at the front desk to the time we checked out, our stay at this Parador would be among our most cherished memories. Its spectacularly scenic location adjacent to Ronda’s historic gorge and a short walk to most of what all who come to Ronda want to see, luxurious accomodations and artfully presented regional menu choices, and “golden day” pricing worked collective magic for us. We will return.
Our favorite parador of five. We stayed two nights in early October. Treat yourself to a nice room. We had the rooftop suite with a large deck overlooking the gorge. The setting right in the middle of the small town across from the Moorish section is outstanding. And the staff especially at the front desk were the warmest we found anywhere in Spain. The dining room was fine for breakfast. We are from the Bay Area and somewhat spoiled. This was the real deal.
My husband and I spent 10 days in Spain at various paradores we loved
every one! Our favorite was Rhonda
We had a corner room facing
The old city and another view facing the farm lands it was glorious. For
anyone visiting Spain I tell them find a parador!!!
Thanks
