Information and reservations at Parador of Puerto Lumbreras

The least impressive of the Paradores we stayed in. Location, restaurant and the hotel itself not impressive. Just good for a stopover.
Service and food were excellent, although the location Puerto Lumbreras is not suited for a long stay. We used the Parador as a stopover to the los Veles Region coming from Cadaques and driving all the day. Unfortunately we found a large cucaracha (at least we think it was one) in our room. We got it after a short hunt, put it under the wastebasket and went to sleep. Maybe the room-maiden found it the next day and was a little dismayed. Otherwise everything was fine, so we did not complain about the unwanted visitor.
This Parador is convenient for us on our regular trip from marbella to the uk
the location is not very exciting, but the reception and the staff are very welcoming, the restaurant on each visit has provided excellent food and first class service. Some other paradors could learn from the running of this location and the quality of the food!
Should be taking of the Parador listing. Staff do thier best but room “Very Very Poor”. Booked for 3 stayed for 1. Enough said
The facilities are definately not what you’d expect from the other paradores – both the general condition and the location (although it is very easy to find).
I thought the food was poor – although it being winter there were only two of us in the restaurant.
The staff were excellent – helpful and friendly.
I agree, food excellent but location awful- roadside and pool was closed in mid September, actually a very warm day but air conditioning in the hotel wasn’t working either,
very small gardens, had to move room because of smell from bathroom,
fortunately evening meal was excellent
The service was excellent, but the place itself is this is the least impressive of the Paradors we have stayed in. A good three star hotel. Not a Parador, for us.
