Comments Parador Mojacar
On the Mojacar coast, with the best micro-climate in Spain, the Parador offers gorgeous views of the blue Mediterranean.
The ideal spot to enjoy these quiet beaches or to let sport bring you into contact with nature.
The hotel reopened its doors in the summer of 2008 after a complete renovation of its facilities. Warm colours, the comfortable and cosy atmosphere of its rooms and improved exteriors in all respects beckon you to visit.
Your stay can be rounded off with a refreshing dip in the hotel pool or working in the well-equipped rooms of the magnificent conference centre. The bright rooms with terraces over the sea invite guests to enjoy the enchanting beauty of their surroundings.
Below are some comments of guests who recently stayed in Parador Mojacar.
Information and reservations at Parador of Mojacar
After Lorca this Parador was a disappointment.
The price is the same but the accomodation has not changed since our previous visits in the 80s and 90s and now feels well used and out of date.
Breakfast was fine but dinner was poor. Embarrasingly so as we had invited guests. The staff were friendly and helpful, doing their best.
My wife and I stayed for 1 week in September 2011. It was our first experience of a Parador and we were very impressed. The decor of the hotel was stunning, and our room elegant, yet welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and especially patient with my attempts to speak Spanish. We’d certainly recommend the breakfast – great variety.
The location was a little remote, but this worked in it’s favour. We found 1 or 2 great restaurants nearby, but perhaps a few more would help (but not in the Commercial Centre).
On the down side, the beach wasn’t the greatest, and seemed like a barren waste in places. Not the fault of the Parador, I know, but perhaps some influence could be applied?
Overall though, a great experience, and one we’d repeat.
We stayed at this hotel in September 2011 and had such a lovely time. The room was large, very clean and incredibly comfortable. The staff were on hand to help and the reception staff made life very easy for us including printing of maps and directions to our favourite store El Corte Ingles just outside of Almeria. It is the second year we had stayed and this year was every bit as good as in 2010. If you make a reservation, make sure you stay for the breakfast – the choice is amazing including churros and Spanish omelette.
Located on the sea front in easy reach of local town facilities and close to some great sea front restaurants and uncrowded beaches.
Very clean room and, once we got the air conditioning working …. a bit fiddly, very comfortable.
Balcony / Terrace led out via ‘private’ garden to beaches.
Great restaurant with friendly service.
Only downside was that it was a bit ‘cut off’ and not easy to explore further afield.
This very minor crititcism apart, a very good Parador.
Spent 2 nights here last week. Lovely modern hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was bright and had view straight out to sea. Restaurant excellent as you would expect from a Parador – I’m addicted to the baby broad bean starter and will have to start growing them myself!
We had been travelling through Spain for a few days and this hotel was the best we had stayed in. The room was large and comfortable with a terrace that looked across at the sea. It was lovely and quiet. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were extremely good. If you are over 55 then why not book “dias de oro” – a special discount for seniors.
Have stayed at many Paradors and this one was as good as any It was a special occassion for us and we just had the one night stay {we have a house near by] Everything was as expected EXCELLENT the only complaint we had was our main course meal could have been better. We are very familar with this Parador and can recommend it without question to anyone
Gillian & Ian Radcliffe stayed 10 Sept 2010
Lovely setting next to the sea side. great staff and the food was good you like buffet on sundays.
Very happy with my stay here. We actually were upgraded to a higher level room than I had booked. Very relaxing, clean and spacious. Breakfast on the terrace was great. I would definitely recommend it.
I am a well established fan of the Paradores in Spain and have stayed in atleast 50% of them. They are generally run well apart from a few local difficulties of customer service. One thing that I always avoid is eating in the Paradors. The quality and choice is poor which is a shame as dinning in such a nice ambiance could enhance the pleasure.
The reception at Mojacar was welcoming and friendly the staff lacked local knowledge of resturants etc, which are nainly situated on the same road. They however did check on the internet and were extremely helpful, rooms were large, clean & comfortably furnished. The bar & the breakfast staff were aloof and rather be somewhere else. All in all as far as the special offers are there I will stay there & recommend others.
Mojacar is the 7th Parador we have stayed in and once again we were delighted with the service, standard of the rooms and the value for money. Really excellent. We will continue to recommend the Pardores to all our friends
Located in the most beautiful environment: The Costa de Almeria.
1. Your reception on arrival – very nice place – never having been to Spain we did know what to expect. We were VERY pleased with the accomodations
2. The bedroom – we had 2 rooms for 3 nights – both were very modern and the beds were great.
3. The view from your room – our views were of the open grassey area – very nice
4. The public rooms – very nice & clean. Being there over Christmas made a perfect “home away from home” for our family
5. The restaurant – the morning breakfast was great – many selections and everything was fresh and well prepared
6. Any noise – no noice – good family spot
7. The location of the hotel – excellent location – near everywhere we needed to be.
8. Proximity to a town – very close for our needs
We stayed at Paradores in Segovia, Cordoba, Mojacar and Alcaniz all of
which were excellent. I particularly
enjoyed the local menus which were good value.
Please keep me advised of any offers or news regarding Paradores as we
would like to visit Spain again next year.
Excellent location with wonderful sea views and one minute walk to the beach. Room quite adequate and clean. Pool terrace and common areas well maintained and inviting. Buffet lunch very special combined with the view. We found the half-board package good value when one factors in the cost of meals. Restaurant staff seem stretched but good natured. A good stay and we will return.
This parador is not as historic as some other ones that we stayed at. However, it is a very nice place to stay if you are looking for a few relaxing days on the Mediterranean coast. The nearby town Mojacar is a tiny, but a beautiful village wrapped around a face of a mountain — very fairy-tale like. The resort itself is very clean, peaceful, with traditional decorations. The staff was very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
We spent a couple of days in Mojacar and found the hotel to be very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a delight on the terrace with a beautiful sea view. Staff were very helpful and polite. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Room was very comfortable and we were very pleased with the overall level of cleanliness. Food was rather bland for our taste and sevice very slow. For the price we did not think that we had good value. Shame as everything else was excellent.
