Parador La Gomera
The Parador La Gomera, with typical island architecture, invites its guests to enjoy its heavenly setting and unbeatable ocean views with the island of Tenerife and the Teide in the background.
The hotel’s interior is filled with maritime references and navigational instruments in memory of Columbus’s ships, which set sail for the Americas from the island.
In the function rooms the furniture combines Castilian and Isabelline styles, while retaining a very personal air of the Canary Islands which is elegant and distinguished. The cosy rooms of the hotel, the swimming pool and the garden, exuberant and abundant in subtropical species, are some of the attractions which complete the interior. The gastronomic offering takes the form of the Gomera fish casserole, stuffed rabbit loins and watercress soup.

We had a lovely time, loved the Parador,
its location and friendly staff.
A fabulous position perched on the cliff, with lovely views both from our room and the beautiful gardens. A calm, peaceful atmosphere.
The welcome was warm and the staff very helpful and friendly.
We thought the restaurant had an interesting and well presented menu and the meals were plentiful and very tasty.
Our only thought is that given the distance/steepness from the town a shuttle service of some kind may be welcomed by less fit guests.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Paradore. Everything about the stay was perfect from the warm welcome we received upon arrival to our fantastic room and the beautiful grounds. We will definitely be back for more excercise ( we all loved the walk to and from the town ) and to see the parrot which by the end of our stay could do a perfect impression of our little girl!
Thank you everyone at the Parador for making our stay perfect.
We stayed 6 nights in November 2009 – we had a beautiful suite with stunning views across to Tenerife. The staff were always charming and helpful.
We enjoyed some lovely meals in the dining-room, breakfast was excellent, and we found the waiters/waitresses, to be very friendly and eager to please.
As we didn’t use the pool, we cant comment, but the surrounding gardens are very well looked after, and there were plenty of quiet places to sit.
Hopefully, we will return….
We had an excellent stay during six nights in a very peaceful environment and in a cosy room. Beautiful garden and magnificent swimmingpool.
The staff was always very helpfull.
Food and wine were excellent.
In my opinion breakfast (17,00 EUR pp) is too expensive.
Toilet should be separated of bathroom.
Tip: a glass of fresh water should be offered on arrival at the pool, free of charge.
We stayed 3 nights in April and would love to return! The rooms are generous and the whole place is really charming in a robust ,vintage, Spanish way. The food is down to earth, yet delicious, and the breakfast is fit for kings! There is only one thing that needs fixing. The bar must raise its standard, so that they can serve a proper drink before dinner. When the bartender has had some training, we will be back to enjoy this wonderful place!
Swimming pool fantastic size, but too cold.
Room absolutely lovely, but would be nice to have coffee and tea.
Service in restaurant really dreadful – really let down the rest of our stay
Sraah
We had one night at the Parador, and enjoyed its fine location with views above the town and port, the tranquil gardens, large pool and public rooms.
The room and especially bathroom was a good as expected, but I was disappointed not to be given a room with a balcony, as there were many of these free. If we had been staying longer I would have asked to move, but feel that it should be policy to allocate balcony or terrece rooms whils these were available, or, even better, to give guests a choice when they arrive.
Some attempt to warm up the water in the pool, perhaps with solar panels, would have been appreciated.
This is the only Parador we have stayed in but when time permits it will not be the last
For one stressed out Sales Manager this is the ultimate chillout joint and we love it
The peace, the garden, the views, the isolation, the food, the staff all brilliant
Only one critisism – no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms
Understood that when in Rome etc. etc. but us Northern Europeans do like our instant fix and do not want to jump through hoops to get it at “hotel prices”
