My daughter and I stayed in December 11. We found the room to be excellent in decor, cleanliness and comfort with superb views over the fantastic hotel gardens and Arenal Beach.
The staff were very efficient, courteous and helpfull. In fact having had a slipper sole burst and made a dreadful mess in the room I rang down and explained what had happened as the room was such a mess. We came back to a cleaned room and a pair of complimentary slippers!
We had room service breakfast each day (with requested eggs) and it was excellent. On the final day we were allowed use of the hotel gym and shower after having spent the day on the beach – just what we needed. We will definitely use this parador again. 5 stars from us.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Pardor in Javea. All aspects of our stay were excellent. The room was very comfortable ,the reception staff were more than helpful, the cleaning ladies were very friendly, the breakfasts were good and plenty of choice and of course the location of the hotel superb. We hope to be back soon.

The hotel was excellent, friendly helpful receptionists, great location etc. We stayed for a week but didn’t eat in the restaurant as we prefer to dine out. Some adverse comments: The Pool – nice though it is is hidden by a low hedge planted within 3 feet of the edge so that nobody can sit by the pool so it was very uninviting – quite bizarre as the pool itself is lovely. We had booked a junior suite but changed to anormal room when we saw it. The junior suites do not have a balcony and overlook the rocky shoreline, whereas the standard rooms have a balcony and overlook the gardens and beautiful beach. Car parking is excellent with an over the road secure car park. The rooms were kept spotless and the breakfast could be taken outdoors which was lovely, although the breakfast was adequate it wasn’t brilliant and none of the breakfast staff spoke english well enough to be able to order eggs which I think may have been on offer but out of reach! Checking out was ok and as we had a late flight we were able to use a shower in the toilet area – not ideal but sufficed. All in all we would stay again as the location is brilliant. We disn’t find any bars that had live music which was a bit disappointing but it was relatively early in the season.

We all enjoyed our stay in Javea,Mojacar and Nerja. All 3 Paradores were excellent. One comment, the staff at breakfast in Mojacar were under a lot of pressure in comparison with the other Paradores.

  5. John R O'Rourke says:

We have now stayed in 6 different Paradores but were most impressed with Jaen, Cazorla, Teruel and Ronda. The square in Teruel is magnificent. The dining room at Jaen is breathtaking. But we loved standing on the bridge at Ronda when the music playing was the Concerto de Aranjuez – Moving and Wonderful

We spent a night in Javea on our way to Valencia. The Parador’s reception was very friendly and efficient, the room with view over to palm trees to the sea was clean, spacious and the little balcony allowed us to enjoy a glass of wine relaxing in the evening sun. Very convenient also the hotel’s parking lot across the street. All our compliments to the hotel management and to the excellent staff.

  7. Maureen Ormston says:

We stayed here for one night on our way back home from Bedar. Couldn’t fault the hotel at all, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms all with sea views and balconies, nice location in Javea as convenient for both ends of town, very pleasant and helpful reception staff and a good breakfast selection the following morning. We didn’t drink here or have an evening meal so can’t comment on prices etc. Would be more than happy to stay there again.

We had an 8 night stay in javea in June and it was lovely. great service, great room and spotless, all credit to the cleaners and great weather.
I must complain about the extortionate bar prices though, way over the top even for this class of hotel and the surprise services charges i.e. when a barman brings your drinks over to the terrace which is all of 10 steps, too much.
Our only other moan is about the terrible music played everywhere outside, on the terrace and by the pool all day. it was Spanish piano and guitar stuff which is fine but it is on a loop and we heard the same thing over and over again all the time we were there, it never changed. It was very boring.
In spite of our moans we would stay again, javea is really nice with low rise, modern beach area, the port area with marina (great low price restaurants and more Spanish) and the old town is just fantastic.

  10. Joseph and Audrey Whitehead says:

We spent a 3 day Christmas break with friends at the Parador. All the boxes were ticked as far as we were concerned. It compared favourably with the Gibralfaro Malaga Parador where we spent the previous year’s Christmas. Our only regret was not availing ourselves of the Christmas Day Lunch, which – too late – we found to offer an excellent Menu. We instead ate at the El Soler Parador, which we found to be disappointing.

  11. Gordon Lord says:

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant short stay at the Parador,Javea,in Nov.
We have absolutely no complaints and found it as good as many luxury and more expensive hotels in the UK.

  12. Paul Howitt says:

In Nov 2008 spent a week here……Will certainly go back and have recommended to everyone we know

  13. Nigel Watkins says:

    Dear Sirs or Madam,

We did, indeed, have a wonderful time both in Javea and Mojacar – we love Spain and the Paradores. The bedrooms, as usual, were excellent with beautiful views of the sea and the gardens. While in Javea we visited Altea, Cabo de la Nao, Moraira and Denia etc. Both hotels are well situated and the service provided at reception was very good too.

We shall be in Spain again next year.
