We had a lovely two-night stay at this Parador at the beginning of October. The accommodation is excellent - very spacious, well-appointed rooms, and there is free parking, which is a big plus for Andalucia, where parking is often at a premium. The pool area, gardens and terrace are very pleasant, and we found the food to be very good as well (breakfast and dinner). The hotel is on the outskirts of Cordoba, but a public bus stop is situated on the street outside and is very cheap. The taxi ride was also not expensive. The Mesquita in Cordoba was one of the highlights of our Andalucia trip (I think it left a bigger impression on me than the Alhambra!). I would definitely stay in this hotel again if travelling by car.

We are a senior couple who love to travel. This was the second of three paradors we visited on our three week trip through Spain and Portugal. We spent two great nights and three days in Cordoba. Your parador competed with the beautiful and interesting town and after enjoying the town during the morning and early afternoon we hurried back to enjoy our great room and very attractive pool. The service from the moment we arrived at the reception till the moment we hesitantly left was great: friendly and hospitable from the first moment. The quality and cleanliness of the room was exemplary, and so was the dinner and breakfast service. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our first visit to a Parador in Spain, and would highly recommend the Parador Cordoba. We had an upgraded room as standard rooms were not available, so more expensive than we normally choose but the views of the city and pool area were worth it. I'm not sure what the construction is about, but it looks like a new housing development which, being so close, may degrade the outlook somewhat in the future. I was celebrating a milestone birthday and the environment and great food and ambience in the restaurant made the occasion as special as I had hoped. The staff were great but as I do not speak Spanish the interaction was limited. In terms of what could be done better, I think the location is not as well documented in the web site as it could be. In terms of access to the town, it could be better explained that to come and go, a city bus stops very close to the parador and is inexpensive and fast to come and go back and forth. Also, there is a walking trail nearby which could be brought to the attention of visitors, as it looks very nice but we did not discover it until the end of our visit. The Mesquita is a spectacular attraction and makes Cordoba a prime location for a tourist visit among other reasons, and the Parador enhances the experience.

Even though it is quite large, the parador has in intimate feel. The rooms were spacious and quiet. I was traveling with my two adult daughters and the staff placed us in adjoining rooms. We enjoyed an afternoon beside the large and well landscaped pool which was refreshing during the heat of the afternoon. There where there were plenty of lounge chairs and places to gather. They couldn't provide non-smoking rooms on the side with the balcony view however.
Perhaps the hotel's nicest feature is the terraza which affords a lovely view of the city. We enjoyed drinks and tapas and watched the beautiful sunset over Cordoba. The buffet breakfast offered a lot of variety.
Staff were friendly.
I have stayed in several parador's in Spain and will look for them again when traveling in Spain. They are a great value.

This was our first visit to a parador and it didn't disappoint. The staff, particularly in the restaurant, couldn't have been more helpful and the food excellent. Our room was large and very comfortable and looked out onto the well kept gardens at the front. The hotel itself is spacious and beautifully appointed. We knew that driving into Cordoba wasn't recommended so were quite happy to pay the 10 euros taxi fare each way. Also, it was very easy to get out of the city when we left. The Alcazar was interesting and it was very pleasant just wandering around the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter. The Mezquita is stunning and cannot be appreciated in just one visit, so we plan to return next year and will definitely stay at the parador.

Directions very poor, but we got there in the end. Reception very friendly. Room excellent (we were upgraded FOC). View expansive but very uninteresting - mostly building sites. Distance from town farther than expected, €10.00 in and €7.00 out in a taxi. Cordoba very interesting, esp mesquita. A bit expensive even out of season. Food at Parador very good, and service very friendly and helpful. We'd recommend it.

The hotel was very nice. We did find the directions to be vague & the signage almost non-existant when trying to locate the parador in a car. You need much better signs to & from the autobahn at least. Also a sign at the entrance to the rotary & not just in front of the hotel would be a good idea. We asked 3 different people & no one knew where the parador was even though we were only a half mile from it.

Your reception on arrival was very good, but lacked some warmth at times. The only drawback was that it was so far from town but It was fast by car. the reception could have a better map or give better instructions to go downtown. The bedroom was clean and the view from your room was beautiful. We could see the city. The only problem we had was that the fountain is very noisy and it awakes you at night.

Overall the city is fantastic, We enjoyed Cordoba and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed for 2 nights at the parador. Our room was beautiful. We enjoyed cocktail hour on our deck with our friends who were next door.
We had dinner there both nights and they were amongst the best that we had in Spain. The guitarist serenaded us thoughout dinner both nights. Our second night we ate outside beneath the full moon. It was just beautiful. The service at the front desk was good, but lacked some warmth at times. Overall it was fantastic and we wished we could have stayed longer. The only drawback was that it was so far from town, but if you are looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place!!!
