We have visited Tenerife in November and had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The building is lovely, cosy, very “homey”, it’s great to sit by the huge fireplace with a bottle of vine. The room was clean and warm (at that time it was only 2C outside at night.) The food was also very good, we loved the Teide ice-cream, which looks like the mountain . The hotel kindly let us use the telescope at night, so had an awesome time stargazing. We fell in love with the area, and will definitely go back again

A wonderful welcome from a friendly face at reception. the Room was absolutely First Class and exceeded expectations as did the quality of the Food at Dinner and Breakfast. All in all a great stay in a unique location – wonderful.

The Parador is in a special place but there is something disfunctional about it. Service at the bar in the evenings is either non-existent or takes ages to arrive. We had a late flight and did not know if we would arrive before the restaurant closed hence snacked at the airport and wanted to top up with a snack before 10 pm but could not. Despite the best efforts of the reception staff they could not persuade anyone to serve us at the bar. On another evening it took a very long time to get anyone to serve us a drink at the bar. There is great reluctance to give guests at least a basic bar service.

Great location, restaurant a little too formal for me, but the staff were friendly and welcoming. Some disruption due to the ongoing building works, but didn’t affect the standard of accommodation. Disappointingly noisy at night, could hear the generator running when we had the bedroom window open. We did leave in the middle of the night when a child staying in the room next door started to scream its head off at midnight and two o’clock (for the second night in a row). However, the cafe serves the best cup of tea and Berlina on the island, so worth going back just for that!

This was our second stay at the Parador in Tenerife, so we knew what to expect. We got an upgraded room due to repairs going on, so we had the room at the top floor with unforgettable 180° views on the scenery. We had 5 days far from the noisy south with great walks in the surrounding canadas. One minus though: the cable to the top was not working, but this is only an extra reason to come back. Which we surely will do.

Hotel impressed us from all points of vew. Hospitality of personell, exellent food in a cosy restourant, comfortable rooms with great veiws. Nowere but here you can watch unbelievable starring night sky and fairytail mauntains when sundown. Place where you you feell yourself calm and free from wild world among God’s nature. We will come back next year with our children.

Hotel great, room very spacious, the separate seating area was nice but lighting a little dim. good location and views, great to go out when the mass of visitors had left. Food very good at dinner and breakfst, very generous portions with some good local touches. Staff excellent in the resturant and front of house. Been past this many times before but our first stay, would recommend it. Mid May is a good time as the weather is very pleasant and the area not too crowded.
Wouls have appreciateded knowing that the pool was still out of order!

We stayed in March 2010 for 4 nights in this Parador. We enjoyed it very much to start some wonderful hiking trails just infront of the house. The staff was always very helpful. Food and room were okay, the view to the Teide was great of course. We will come back once a year in April, hoping the summit then will not be closed!

Arrival: We did arrive from the airport Reina Sofia, we rented a car and did drive to the Parador from the south. Unfortunately the road was blocked at the last 4 km’s because of the haevy rain the week before. So we had to take another route, the road from the north. It did cost 3 hours more to arrive at the parador. It would be nice if we had being informed through the parador-management!
The bedroom was good, the view very nice, the restaurant good, the location very very nice and particular quiet!
