Comments Parador Cambados

The former, Pazo de Bazan, was an ancestral mansion built in the 17th Century; it is located on the green landscapes of the Rias Baixas, on the Ria de Arousa. The Gallegan coast is dotted with leafy pine trees, beaches and numerous country houses.Parador de Cambados
The Parador of Cambados is in the centre of the small village of Cambados, only a short distance from the Isla de la Toxa. It has a pretty interior courtyard with an outstanding arcade and fountain, as well as a slender palm tree.

It also has pleasant and light bedrooms with accommodating furniture. The other rooms feature stone columns, wooden ceilings and beams, as well as the gardens and an inviting swimming pool.
The restaurant serves local ingredients such as the breaded cockles, sole cooked in Albarino wine and seafood.

Stayed at the end of July for 5 nights. Well located for the local wine festival, literally just outside the hotel’s gates. Really good food in the restaurant, although a change of menu during the five days would have been appreciated – don’t stay here if you are on a diet !! I think we arrived a bit early as the reception was a bit frosty. Good Internet connection and great service all round. Overall, a great stay and a great hotel, I would thoroughly recommend it.

This lovely Parador was clean, comfortable, in a good location and provided excellent service and all amenities. The menu was well cooked and delicious but rather limited but there was an excellent restuarant around the corner that filled in any gaps. The hotel provided an excellent base to see Santiago de Compostela and the Rias Baixas and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Excellent stay, great location, beautiful building with a patio.
Room with a full bathroom. Some criticism is
the music too loud, especially during breakfast (wonderful
buffet). Choice of music is not very happy. I love classical music, but Wagner in the morning hours is too intense.

WE HAVE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE PARADOR OF CAMBADOS. THE ANCIENT BUILDING IS PRECIOUS AND THE STAFF, ALL OF THEM WERE COURTEOUS AND WILLING TO HELP AND SERVE US ALL THE TIME, DURING OUR STAY. BEAUTIFUL SMALL TOWN OF CAMBADOS WITH A WONDERFUL VIEW OF THE OCEAN AND MAGNIFICENT RESTAURANTS. THE ACCOMODATIONS, FOOD AND THE GENERAL SERVICE OF THE PARADOR WAS FANTASTIC, AND WE THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR EXCELENT TREATMENT AND FOR MAKING US FEEL AT HOME ALL THE TIME. WE WILL LOVE TO GO BACK AND VISIT YOU AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. THANKS A LOT!!!

all was nice and clean, room, location… all the staff was professional and did a good service, the only negative thing ( which is not so important) was the internet service…old hardware and slow connection

Lovely old building in excellent location near to old town, restaurants and wine shops as well as the sea. Particularly enjoyed the courtyard bar where we had teas and drinks every day in the fresh air. Excellent staff, friendly and most helpful to my (disabled) companion. Wonderful breakfasts in pleasant dining room as well as good menu for evening dinners and nice local Albarino wines.

Lovely parador. Staff quite attentive, tried to be helpful always, although almost nobody spoke any English. One of he best dining rooms of the paradors we visited, with sensitive and competent waitstaff.
