Comments Parador Albacete
Located in the plains of La Mancha in an ideal setting for enjoying outdoor activities, the Parador in Albacete offers travellers the full range of luxuries for a relaxing and peaceful stay. The gardens and swimming pool provide an ideal location for relaxing, taking a stroll or a refreshing dip during hot summer afternoons.

This Manchegan country mansion has a beautiful entrance hall, the interior is characterised by an elegant simplicity where natural light plays an important role. Large windows and ornate woods complement the light feel of the comfortable bedrooms.
The 9 Hole Pitch & Putt Golf Course and Putting Green is open to the public. Pitch and Putt is like normal golf but with shorter distances between the holes. The distance between holes on a pitch and putt course varies between 40 m. and 120 m.

Information and reservations at Parador of Albacete
We were disappointed in this hotel – noisy (almost beside the motorway), uninteresting countryside, miles out of Albacete, very average room, food pricey. We won’t be going there again (this is an exception – we would be happy to recommend all the other paradors we’ve visited).
This was the fourth parador we stayed at from 5 over 6 days. Overall it was the ‘least best’ of the five. No major problems, just some niggles. Disabled access is excellent, for the entrance, but the room we had was a good 150 metres from the main entrance. We had a wheelchair, but you need to be aware of this. The room itself was excellent, the period furniture was classy, and the bathroom clean and one of the best we had come across for disabled, more like a wetroom. The bar was OK; there was a large TV which dominated the room. The barmaid was the exception to all the staff as far as English speaking went, but at least I was able to practice my limited Spanish! The reception and restaurants’ staff spoke excellent English. The restaurant was quiet, but the food and service were good. The English version had rather dodgy translation; a problem with all Paradors in my limited experience. I suspect even if your Spanish is good, restaurant menus can be a problem. The breakfast was up to the usual standard. Lovely and quiet by the way. Worth bearing in mind there are very few paradors in this area, and even fewer recommended for disabled.
Reception was polite but unhelpful. Our room was a very long way from the reception for carrying the luggage. Very disappointed to find the pool was closed (there was water in it) but no explanation. Asked to use putting green but not given any equipment etc. There was nowhere to walk around the hotel. After a shower, I found the whole bathroom floor and hallway were 2 inches under water. Otherwise the bedroom and view across the lawn were nice. The bar and restaurant were pleasant. Very quiet location but a long way from the town and any other places of interest. Will probably not return to this Parador as it is not up to the usual standard.
We stayed in the Albacete Parador and enjoyed every minute. It was peaceful, great kitchen with local specialities. Swimmingpool in a grass garden and trees. Room was perfect. Lots of rspace and nicely decorated – a joy to stay.
Personal was great, with good service and a helping hand in learning more Spanish.
Revisit is in our minds.
The Albacete Parador was cold within our room during November, due to the design of the building with a large expanse of outside walls.
We found the restaurant prices expensive and bought bar snacks, the range of which was limited. Breakfast was very good, though at 20 Euros it should be. The location of the parador was too far out of town and I did not want to drive back into Albacete for an evening meal, so it limited our choice to the hotel. The choice of a walk around the immediate hotel area was limited to a county road across a field. We found Albacete closed up for the season, with the museum and cahtedral closed. We stayed for two days. Overall it was a good experience though more that two days would have been too much.
We have stayed in the Albacete Parador on 27 September 2009, a beautiful ‘hacienda building’. Although situated outside town in an industrial area and near airport the location is fine, but one should ask for a room not facing the hiway road (traffic noise). Had a very nice decorated and comfortable room, especially liked the bed and bath linnen.
Superb breakfast. Diner menu with many regional dishes, a bit difficult for foreigners. Would suggest to include some more international dishes are well.
Pitch and Putt golf course in the hotel garden (very short holes, not always easy) as well as 2 tennis courts and swmming pool.
Very kind staff, also English speaking. We had a pleasant stay, thank you.
